Light on light: an illuminating story was an exhibition that traced the evolution of forms of lighting in Greece from prehistoric to modern times, presenting objects from the collection of the museum. The catalogue was designed to include both Greek and English text on three-column pages, with accompanying pictures of each object and examples of similar objects from around the world. Orange was chosen as the colour closest to clay, which was the primary material for oil lamps and other forms of lighting in antiquity.
